Music was a sensuous centerpiece of the home. Here in Catskill, we are making objects that restore music to its rightful place. We have lost our rituals of listening, and we need them back.
A for Ara is a collaboration between Robert Kalin (founder of Etsy) and William Cowan (NASA engineer), with support from masters in several other trades.
Situated on 100 acres of farmland, our purpose-built studio combines old world craftsmanship with modern CNC tooling.
Everything is made for the ear first, with utmost respect for the integrity of the signal path.
